Adolph Joseph Maria Bermbach (born September 14, 1821 in Wiesbaden , † March 14, 1875 in Cologne ) was a German left-wing and later left-wing liberal politician.

Life

Bermbach's parents were Ferdinand Bermbach, ducal-Nassau Higher Appeal Court Procurator from Camberg , and his wife Catharina born. Nückel.

Bermbach studied law from 1841 to 1844 at the Rheinische Friedrich-Wilhelms-Universität . 1842-1844 he was a member of the Bonn student corps Hansea, which was suspended in 1845 for lack of young talent and for financial reasons. This "old Hansea" was a forerunner of the Corps Hansea Bonn . Later he worked as a notary . From 1861 to 1872 he practiced in Gerresheim , later in Cologne . In the pre-March period he was involved in the community of the Siegkreis. As the successor to Johann Joseph Heister , he represented the constituency of Siegburg in the rump parliament of the Frankfurt National Assembly from February 27, 1849 to June 18, 1849 . He belonged to the Deutscher Hof faction . After the revolution he was a member of the League of Communists from 1850 to 1852 . He was the contact person for Karl Marx in Cologne. He kept in touch with the defendants in the Cologne Communist Trial. For this reason he was arrested in 1852. After 1861 he was a member of the German Progressive Party . 1869–1872 he was a member of the city council in Gerresheim . Then he was a member of the city council in Cologne.
