She is officially assigned two guarantors , the civil engineer Peter Müller and the music teacher Irmgard Behrend. You should make sure that Nina proves herself. They achieve that Nina's youngest child Mireille can initially live with the mother again on a trial basis.

After a subsequent unhappy and failed love story, which briefly lets her escape into alcohol again, Nina, with the help of Irmgard Behrend, realizes that she must finally take responsibility for her life and her children.

Nina finds a compromise with her guarantors, gives her eldest daughter Jaqueline up for adoption and tries to be a responsible mother for René and Mireille from now on.

criticism

  • "An unadorned, intense film with a great Katrin Saß." ( Progress Film-Verleih )
  • “The truthfulness of this film is thanks to the director. Zschoche doesn't play down human problems, but neither does he get into blind zeal. The narrative perspective is that of an objective, if sympathetic observer. ”(Henryk Goldberg,“ Neues Deutschland ”, September 20, 1981)
  • “Herrmann Zschoche staged. Without any whitewash, his new film is sober, sobering, uncomfortable for everyone who thinks along and on. "(Günter Sobe," Berliner Zeitung ", September 29, 1981)
