Werner Tietze

Werner Tietze (born September 8, 1940 in Kauffung ; † August 8, 2013 in Berlin ) was a German actor , director and screenwriter .

Life

Tietze completed an acting course in Berlin until 1965 and then worked for a year at the Senftenberg Theater. This was followed by an engagement at the Deutsches Theater Berlin and from the 1970s an engagement at the Berliner Volksbühne under director Benno Besson, among others .

Tietze was also seen on GDR television and in DEFA movies from the 1970s . He took on his first film role in 1970 as Dr. Summer in the film Dr. med. Summer II . From 1978 onwards he became known to a larger television audience as Lieutenant Woltersdorf in the crime film series Polizeiruf 110 . From 1991 Tietze worked as a freelance actor and at the end of the 1990s worked as a director at the Schleswig State Theater.
