Wojcieszów (German Kauffung ) is a town with 3846 inhabitants (2014) in southwestern Poland . It is located in the powiat Złotoryjski in the Lower Silesian Voivodeship and belongs to the Neisse Euroregion .

Wojcieszów is located in the Bober-Katzbach Mountains on the Kaczawa (Katzbach), about 20 kilometers east of Jelenia Góra . The city is known for the Kauffunger marble , which was used in Sanssouci Palace , among other places . There are many limestone caves in the area. There are deposits of basalt, limestone and sandstone that are used for construction and road construction. Poland's richest deposit of agate , which is characterized by an unusual coloring, is located here. There were also deposits of gold sand and gravel, which have now been mined.
