Trude Brentina (* 23. August 1899 in Vienna , † 31 July 1986 in Potsdam , actually: Gertrud Brentina ) was an actress and voice actress , the artistic mainly in about 30 films and over 50 television productions for the DEFA and GDR television in Appearance occurred.

Life

The daughter of the writer Ottokar Stauf was enthusiastic about the theater at an early age , but at the urging of her parents first had to learn a solid profession. After completing her training as a French teacher, she finally attended the drama school of the State Theater in Berlin from 1938 to 1939, followed by stages in Bielefeld, Hamburg, Berlin and Güstrow. After 1945 she returned to the Berlin area, where she was given a long-term engagement at the Brandenburg State Theaters and the Hans Otto Theater in Potsdam . From 1966 she worked as a freelancer.

In addition to her extensive work as a dubbing actress, she has also appeared in many film productions, primarily for DEFA and GDR television, since the 1950s - but mostly in smaller supporting roles.
