The Intergastra is an international trade fair for decision makers and professionals from hospitality and catering in Stuttgart . The event has meanwhile become the largest industry meeting point in the German-speaking region for the area and exhibitors and attracts trade visitors from the DA-CH region and other European countries. It takes place every two years, most recently from February 3 to 7, 2018. In 2014, around 90,000 trade visitors came to the trade fair, where almost 1,300 exhibitors presented themselves on 100,000 m².

The focus of the exhibition is on kitchen technology , coffee and ice machines, cleaning and environmental technology , hotel furnishings and room furnishings, catering equipment for indoor and outdoor use, porcelain, glasses, steel goods, table linen , table decorations, raw materials, aids, convenience products , food, hot beverages as well as alcoholic and non-alcoholic Beverages. Furthermore, sales promotion and advertising , entertainment and animation equipment, EDP and accounting systems as well as publishing houses and publishing products are key areas.

Various supporting programs and competitions take place during the fair, for example the Couvert d'Or or cooking competitions and cocktail competitions. There are also special areas for the well-established special topics of ice cream ( Gelatissimo ), focus hotel, coffee (Stuttgart Coffee Summit) and nightlife gastronomy (NEO).

Intergastra is one of the most important trade fairs for the hospitality industry in Europe .
