Marie Gruber

Marie Gruber (born June 11, 1955 in Wuppertal ; † February 8, 2018 in Berlin ) was a German theater, television and film actress and voice actress .

life and career

Marie Gruber grew up in Halle an der Saale after her parents moved from Wuppertal . She trained as an actress from 1979 to 1982 at the Ernst Busch Academy of Dramatic Arts in East Berlin . After that she had theater engagements at the Landestheater Anklam under Frank Castorf , at the Staatsschauspiel Dresden , at the Berlin theaters “Das Ei”, Friedrichstadtpalast , the Berliner Volksbühne , at Theater 89 , at the Brandenburg Theater and at the Theater am Kurfürstendamm .

She was known at the side of Wolfgang Stumph in Go Trabi Go and the sequel Go Trabi Go 2 - That was the wild east . She also played in numerous television series, including more than 40 episodes of the crime series Polizeiruf 110 , mainly as a forensic technician Rosamunde Weigand with Schmücke and Schneider . In Stubbe - From case to case she was Stubbe's wife Caroline and played again at the side of Wolfgang Stumph. In the series Bei Krömers , nominated for the Adolf Grimme Prize in 2006 , she played Ingrid Krömer in eight episodes. She played supporting roles in numerous movies, including DEFA productions, the Oscar- winning drama The Lives of Others and the international production The Readers .

At the theater, Gruber appeared in plays by Ibsen ( Nora ) , Molière ( Tartuffe ) , Brecht ( Drums in the Night , The Guns of Mrs Carrar ), Shakespeare ( Othello ) and Kleist ( The Broken Jug ) . In addition, Marie Gruber was also active as a voice actress, among other things as "Blümchen" on the radio crime scene of the MDR . In 2017 she was seen in Babylon Berlin as the alcoholic wife of a commissioner.

Marie Gruber last lived in Berlin-Pankow . Starting in October 2017, she took time off to undergo treatment for lung cancer . She died on February 8, 2018 at the age of 62. She left two grown sons.
