Dr. Sommerfeld - Neues vom Bülowbogen is the title of an early evening series by ARD that was produced and broadcast by ARD from 1997 to 2004. It was the serial successor to Praxis Bülowbogen .

The focus of the series is the practice of the doctor Peter Sommerfeld ( Rainer Hunold ), the successor to Peter Brockmann ( Günter Pfitzmann ).

Peter Sommerfeld is very popular with his patients. In addition to medical advice, he also likes to have very personal, very human advice at hand. He not only handles emergencies during office hours, but often also in his limited free time. His private life is dear to him, but he rarely manages to keep his job out of everyday family life.

In February 2004, there was in the ARD evening series Großstadtrevier a guest appearance by Rainer Hunold in his role of Dr. Summer field. The episode is titled Pill Rollers .
