Milena Vukotic (born April 23, 1935 in Rome ) is an Italian actress .

Live and act

She is the child of a Montenegrin theater writer and an Italian pianist. Milena Vukotic studied dance and acting in London, Vienna and Paris and worked in the ballet of Roland Petit . She made her film debut in 1954 in the film La cage aux souris and then in 1960 in Das Bittere Leben . Even during her work in film, she always acted as an actress on the stage, mainly in Rome at the Teatro Argentina and at the Teatro Quirino. But she was also seen on stage in Palermo, Siracusa and Verona, and more often at the Teatro Franco Parenti in Milan . From 1991 to 2004 she also performed as a reciter of works by several authors on pieces by Schubert, Liszt and Handel. In Germany, Vukotic became known both in 1983 through John Knittel's television adaptation Via Mala directed by Tom Toelle and in 1987 through the series Anna as dance teacher Irina Kralowa. In 1994 she won the Italian film prize Nastro d'Argento des Sindacato Nazionale Giornalisti Cinematografici Italiani . She played in Luc Bondy's production and film of Arthur Schnitzler's Das weite Land and in Paulus Manker's Alma in Venice.
