Renate Bergmann is the pseudonym of the German humorous writer Torsten Rohde (* 1974 in Genthin ), under whom he publishes his works.

Life

Rohde studied business administration at the Technical University of Brandenburg and then worked as a controller in Genthin. He has lived in Berlin since 2016 .

Rohde got the idea for his characters at family celebrations. On January 16, 2013, his Renate Bergmann dropped her first tweet . After her fan base grew rapidly, she released I'm Not Cute, I'm Just Sugar in 2014 . An online granny says how's her first book. That made it straight into the mirror - bestseller list and was also the Korean translation. Since then she has published several equally successful paperback books at Rowohlt Verlag .

Renate Bergmann is played by actresses at readings, since mid-2015 by Anke Siefken , who has already played this role at the Herrlingen Theater in Blaustein near Ulm.

Art figure Renate Bergmann

Renate Bergmann b. Strelemann is 82 years old. Your younger brother is Fritz, who lives in Swabia. After the Second World War she was a rubble woman and then for 40 years she was a Reichsbahner . She lives alone and is widowed four times: Otto, Franz, Wilhelm and Walter. They are in four different cemeteries in Berlin and tending to the grave requires a lot of time and logistical efforts. With Wilhelm von Morskötter she has a 50-year-old daughter: Kirsten, who lives in the Sauerland, is the exact opposite of her mother: esoteric , " Weganerin " and earns her living as a naturopath for small animals . Renate upholds conventions and nobody in the household fools her. However, she does like to have a Nordhäuser Korn once in a while , and she would never admit that she is curious. After the reunification she moved to the western part of the city to Berlin-Spandau . With her best friend Gertrud Potter, she often sneaks in at the funeral feast . She also does a lot with her retired couple, Ilse and Kurt Gläser, who are friends. Your house neighbors are Ms. Meiser and Ms. Berber.

After receiving a "handi" from her great-nephew Stefan Winkler, she discovered the world of "Fäßbock", "Twitter" & Co. as an online granny. Because she liked them, she types her stories into a "clamshell computer" and is now conquering the analog world of books.

In May 2020, the band then we'll stay at home reached number 1 on the SPIEGEL bestseller list.
