At Bell Signal Murder is a German crime film by Andreas Kleinert from 2001. It is the 227th episode in the film series Polizeiruf 110 and the second case for chief detective Wanda Rosenbaum and police chief Horst Krause.

action

When police chief Krause brought his niece to school late, her teacher Katja Kamp met him from Jana's classroom and collapsed with a fatal stab wound . Chief Detective Wanda Rosenbaum takes over the investigation, in which each of the twenty-one students present appears suspicious of having killed the unpopular Frau Kamp. Krause finds out that Jana intentionally overslept. Surprisingly, other students were also absent. Obviously, all of the students knew that something was going to happen that morning. The student Alexander Jahn, who was suspended by Kamp, appears to be the perpetrator, but his classmates testify that he was not present at the time of the crime. The students among each other come under increasing psychological pressure. When Jana finally tries to take her own life, the other students confess the course of events: Kamp verbally attacked Alexander, who then threatened her with a knife. The pupil Lilly finally took Alexander's knife and stabbed; Alexander fled the classroom through the window with the murder weapon.

In a subplot, Rosenbaum tries to establish contact with her grown daughter, from whom she has become estranged, which she refuses.

The critics of the TV magazine TV Spielfilm gave the best possible rating (thumbs up) and wrote: “Attentive, calm, empathetic”.
