occupation

Kleine Frau is a German crime film by Andreas Kleinert commissioned by the rbb in 2006. It is the 272nd episode in the film series Polizeiruf 110 and the tenth case for master master Horst Krause and the sixth case for his partner Johanna Herz.

action

Johanna Herz is nervous: after eleven years there is a class reunion and the long-awaited reunion of the former classmates. Everyone is enjoying themselves and in good spirits when, completely unexpectedly, Krause meets the totally disturbed Lisa Schneider late at night on the street. Full of blood, she claims to have killed her own son. Krause calls Commissioner Herz, who leaves the party immediately. She was wondering why Lisa didn't show up for the class reunion. When she offers Lisa her help, she refuses it strictly.

With the conviction that Lisa Schneider is innocent, the commissioner tries to come to terms with what happened. Dirk Schneider had a difficult relationship with his mother and had a criminal record for assault. According to neighbors and acquaintances, he downright despised his mother and never forgave her for having to grow up without a father. Money was always tight and his mother could never offer him what other children his age had. He recently had a girlfriend and supposedly needed extra money for it, which led to the fact that he had reached into the cash register at his uncle's company, where he has an apprenticeship, and was fired.

In Lisa's apartment, Commissioner Herz finds evidence that someone was still present at the time of the crime. Lisa Schneider denies this. When checking Dirk's friends, Kai seems particularly noticeable.

In the meantime, Lisa Schneider commits suicide, about which Commissioner Herz makes great reproaches. For her head of department, the case seems to be closed, but the inspector persists and finds out that Kai's mother and Iris Menken had painstakingly saved money together with Lisa because they wanted to start their own business. Dirk knew about the savings and wanted to take it away from his mother. He had even hit her in the presence of Birte and Iris, which the two of them could no longer watch. They hit him with a heavy candlestick to stop him, but he was still alive. Lisa wanted her friends to leave her alone with Dirk. They had done that and since Lisa hadn't asked for help, he had succumbed to his injuries. Inspector Herz then returns the Schneider file to her boss as done with no further entries.

criticism

Rainer Tittelbach from tittelbach.tv rates this police call very positively and praises it: “In 'Kleine Frau' the gray areas of the psyche are explored and the sensitivities of the region find their projection surface. But in Andreas Kleinert's film, the play of colors is right. It looks like a commissioner is being reborn here. Kogges Johanna Herz looks unusually feminine, emotional and highly committed. The renowned theater woman is finally at the height of her TV role. "

The critics of the television magazine TV Spielfilm gave the best possible rating (thumbs up) and wrote: "Depressingly realistic scenes of broken dreams in the Brandenburg prefabricated building province." And drew the overall conclusion: "Half a crime thriller, milieu study - really big!"

Awards

In 2014 this police call was awarded the Grimmepreis . The reason stated: “'Little woman' paints a socially accurate and touching picture of single mothers who can barely make ends meet financially and who put everything into their children, up to and including giving up themselves so that they are not left behind children of better-off parents. “It does not take place in the milieu of the rich and beautiful, which is seen far too often, but where most people live: in a difficult - here realistically reproduced.” The Adolf Grimme Prize was awarded to Stefan Rogall (screenplay), Andreas Kleinert (director), Thomas Plenert (camera), Imogen Kogge (KHK Johanna Herz) and Johanna Gastdorf (Lisa Schneider) for their performance at Kleine Frau .
