Alles Lie is a German crime film by Ed Herzog on behalf of the rbb from 2009. It is the 304th episode in the film series Polizeiruf 110 and the fourteenth case for master master Horst Krause and the tenth case for his partner Johanna Herz.
action
The entrepreneur Herbert Marstein, who campaigned for a building project by Polish investors, is found dead in his office. Commissioner Herz is called, who had actually planned this evening purely privately. Everything points to robbery, although the front door was not opened with force. Krause, who was also informed, notices that Marstein's dog is missing. A witness claims to have seen a Polish delivery truck.
Marstein was a thorn in the side of the residents; instead of employing local, Polish companies and craftsmen, it met with little approval. Marstein was particularly unpopular with the mayor and his wife. Commissioner Herz learns of a solid dispute between Marstein and Mayor König, which was actually only about banalities.
In the meantime, Marstein's son arrives, who has had no contact with his father for a long time. In the short term, he is suspected of murder because he had returned to the village earlier than he had stated in the first questioning. King hopes to be able to buy a piece of land from his father as heir. His son Max had already set up a workshop on Marstein's estate that he would like to keep.
Krause now finds Marstein's dog with Vera's help. Although found on the side of the road, he was shot. Not with the same weapon as its owner, but with a very old model from the Second World War. This leads to one of the village youths who shot the animal out of high spirits.
There is a surprise at the opening of the will. Florian Marstein assumed he would inherit everything, but he has to find out from the notary that his father has designated Max König as the sole heir. This confuses not only Max, but also his father. Even Inspector Herz had wondered why the otherwise inaccessible Marstein would allow Max of all people to be near him. This question is resolved when Erika König admits that Marstein is Max's biological father. She often argued with him about this, which escalated recently when Marstein wanted to make this fact known to the whole village, whereupon Erika König shot him in an affect.
Johanna Herz realizes in this episode that her long-time partner Robert Beck obviously has a lover. As a book author he gets around a lot and got involved with his publisher, since his Johanna was very often not there when he needed her. Heart draws the consequences with a heavy heart and separates from him.

criticism
Rainer Tittelbach from tittelbach.tv appreciates: The “socially critical impetus in 'Alles Läge' lies more in the scenery, in the situations, than it is explicitly placed in the middle of the action. Ed Herzog covered the optics of the film with a patina of decline. Emaciated faces, burned-out bodies in grainy images and washed-out, gloomy colors. The seemingly old-fashioned assembly principle, in which a scene is cut before the crucial information, in order to move on to the next scene at a faster pace, didn't go badly. "
In Stimme.de criticized Kai-Oliver Derks and writes: "Director Ed Herzog has managed an interesting thriller, which is presenting its numerous figures carefully and drives the story wise. Up to the very strong, emotional finale. As usual, at the RBB-'Polizeiruf 110 'everything is a bit more relaxed this time, but this time the film is picking up speed. Chief Commissioner Herz, who is also not free from private problems, is constantly asking new questions. "
The critics of the television magazine TV Spielfilm gave it a medium rating (thumbs to the side) and commented: "Worn out record, story with lengths".
