occupation

Mörderkind is a German crime film by Matti Geschonneck from 1999. It is the 209th episode in the film series Polizeiruf 110 and the first case for master master Horst Krause and his partner Wanda Rosenbaum.

action

Chief Detective Wanda Rosenbaum was transferred to the Brandenburg province and is confronted with her first case there:

14-year-old Jennifer is found dead by a pond. She was killed with a stone. The 13-year-old outsider Mark, on whose T-shirt the victim's blood was found, quickly becomes suspect and also makes a confession. However, traces of semen that did not come from Mark are also found on Jennifer. A voluntary mass genetic test among the villagers shows that the DNA found was passed on to the veterinarian Dr. Augustine can be assigned, who finally admits an affair with the girl during interrogation and was demonstrably also at the crime scene. Once at large, Augustine commits suicide and confesses in a suicide note that she was responsible for Jennifer's death. On a tip from the examining psychiatrist Dr. Rosenbaum realizes that Mark is the culprit. She is committed to ensuring that Mark, who is still under criminal law, is taken into psychiatric treatment.

criticism
