Martin Armknecht (born February 21, 1962 in Düsseldorf ) is a German actor .

Life

Armknecht received his acting training in Hamburg and Berlin , among others with Jack Garfein and Zygmont Mollik . Together with other actors, he built his own theater in Düsseldorf in 1980 (Hansa Palast / Jhawemirc-Theater), in which he worked until 1987.

In the WDR series Lindenstrasse he played "Robert Engel" from 1987 to 1992, whose kiss with partner Georg Uecker alias "Carsten Flöter" in 1990 caused outrage and death threats. Armknecht also worked as a radio speaker and author and played in the theater. He now also works as a producer .

In 1991 his cinema career began with Manta, Manta . In addition to other roles in cinema and television films as well as various series guest appearances, he stood in front of the camera in 1996 as "Kommissar Quandt" in the series Ein Mord für Quandt . Together with the screenwriter and journalist Frank Lustig, Martin Armknecht produces the series of events, Fang the Murderer! in Cologne (moderated by Georg Uecker ). In 2009 he was in Ludwigsburg for the ARD early evening series One for all - women can do it better than "Gerd Grauberg" in front of the camera.

He lives in Cologne, has a daughter and was married to Susanne Leutenegger , who played the role of "Leonie Vogt" in Lindenstrasse from 2000 to 2001 .
