Stan Becker is a four-part German film series with Heinz Hoenig in the lead role, which was broadcast on Sat.1 between 1998 and 2001 .

Stan Becker resigns from his office as police commissioner in Wuppertal and investigates private criminal cases. He plays a likable, edgy but stubborn investigator who likes to strike. The show was discontinued in 2001 after four episodes of Sat.1.

Reviews

Rainer Tittelbach from tittelbach.tv said: Heat stroke is "a Ruhrpott cop in a dirty outfit whose obstinacy gets him into the most impossible situations. [...] The PR machinery sounds & gives birth to crime stories."

The critics of the television magazine TV Spielfilm gave it a medium rating (thumbs straight) and said: "Good actors in a tired TV routine."
