Joachim Schöneberger

Joachim Schöneberger (* around 1950) is a German film producer .

He got into the headlines in 2007 because, as managing director of Telefilm Saar, a subsidiary of Saarland Broadcasting Corporation , he was suspected of having embezzled more than 20 million euros. The Saarbrücken public prosecutor's office then initiated investigations into suspected breach of trust and balance sheet manipulation. Schöneberger was sentenced by the Saarbrücken regional court to two and a half years in prison for forgery, fraud and breach of trust.
