Juraj Kukura (born March 15, 1947 in Prešov ) is a Slovak actor and currently director of the Arena Theater in Bratislava .

After completing his school education, he studied acting at the Vysoká škola múzických umení v Bratislave , where he graduated in 1973. From 1971 he worked in the Divadle na Korze and Nova scéna theaters . From 1976 he was part of the ensemble of the Slovak National Theater in Bratislava until he emigrated to Germany in 1984. At first he worked at the Münchner Kammerspiele , but then also at theaters in Basel , Bonn and since 1985 in the ensemble of the Deutsches Schauspielhaus in Hamburg .

He became known to German television audiences in the 1980s through roles in Via Mala , Tatort , Das Traumschiff , Die Wilsheimer , Das Erbe der Guldenburgs and Hotel Paradies . He also played in numerous Slovak and German films, such as Count Aldobrandini in 1978 in Das ninth Herz directed by Juraj Herz , furthermore in Peter Zadek's adaptation of the book Hurra wir noch Leben by Johannes Mario Simmel under the title Die wild fifties (1983) as well in Otto - The Love Film (1992). He played the villain Robert DeWill in the two-part television production Winnetous Returns (1998) . He was most recently seen in the cinema in Das Sams (2001), The Last Train (2006) and Hotel Lux (2011).
