Jörg Holm

Jörg Holm (born February 4, 1940 in Stettin ; † July 22, 2000 in Berlin ) was a German actor . The versatility of this actor was particularly evident in modern repertory theater . His interpretation of the fool in Alban Berg's Wozzeck at La Scala in Milan (directed by Jürgen Flimm ) was also very well received .

Career

Jörg Holm was the son of the chamber singer Richard Holm and the actress Herta Schwarz. At the age of seventeen he was already playing at the theater in Schleswig. Later he was with OFSchuh in Cologne, at the Residenztheater in Munich, in Hanover and at the Theater am Neumarkt in Zurich . In 1975 he went to the Thalia Theater in Hamburg for four years . A stay abroad took him to South America . From 1980 he then played at the Schillertheater Berlin under Hans Neuenfels (in Penthesilea , with Die Schwärmer and others, artistic director Boy Gobert ) and at the Freie Volksbühne Berlin (directed by Peter Zadek , artistic director Hans Neuenfels). In 1985 he returned to the Thalia Theater in Hamburg (director Katharina Thalbach , director Robert Wilson ( The Black Raider and Alice ), artistic director and director Jürgen Flimm ). Most recently Jörg Holm played at the Renaissance Theater in Berlin.
