Judy Winter
Judy Winter (born January 4, 1944 as Beate Richard in Friedland , Upper Silesia ) is a German theater and film actress and voice actress .
Life
After taking acting classes at the Stuttgart University of Music and Performing Arts, Judy Winter initially worked on the theater stage, including at the Bremen Theater under the direction of Kurt Hübner , Peter Palitzsch and Peter Zadek, as well as in Stuttgart and Ulm , and was featured in musicals known. From the 1970s she also played complex female characters in German film. She had her breakthrough on screen in 1971 in the film adaptation of Simmel And Jimmy went to the rainbow . In 1979 her first record, Sie zu him, was released based on the well-known text by Kurt Tucholsky . She has been very successful since 1998 with the play Marlene , in which she embodies the aging diva Marlene Dietrich . A CD was also created for this .
For many years, Winter has been committed to the needs of people with HIV and AIDS . As the curator of the Berliner AIDS-Hilfe she tries not to let the topic of AIDS disappear from the public eye. Together with others she founded the annual gala “Artists against AIDS”.
As a voice actress she lent her voice to internationally known actresses such as Faye Dunaway (Chinatown), Jane Fonda (Julia), Audrey Hepburn (Robin and Marian), Julie Walters ( Billy Elliot - I Will Dance ) , Bette Midler (among others For the Boys ) and Liv Ullmann ( Scenes from a Marriage ). She has also been the standard speaker for Shirley MacLaine since 2003 . In addition, she worked in radio play productions (inter alia as Torah in the Perry Rhodan series and as Isabell Wagner in the radio play soap ... and by the way, love ). Winter spoke to Dr. Clarissa Franklin in the Drei ??? - Radio plays 76 (voices from nowhere) , 99 (character assassination) and 188 (signals from the beyond) . At the beginning of December 2008, her solo chanson evening, Wenn ich bin ich ich bin ich ich sein, premiered at the Urania in Berlin. In it she sang songs from Bertolt Brecht to Hildegard Knef to texts that she wrote herself.
Her adopted son, Francis Winter, is an actor and playwright. In 2006 he wrote the play Schöne Surprise for his mother , which premiered in the Komödie am Kurfürstendamm with Judy Winter in the lead role .
As a young actress, Judy Winter was in a relationship with director Peter Zadek for seven years . She later married the actor Joachim Regelien . The marriage was divorced, as was her marriage to the jazz clarinetist, orchestra leader and composer Rolf Kühn , who was celebrated in Germany and the USA .
In 2015 she took part in the musical Cabaret at the Bad Hersfeld Festival . As part of the television series Familie Bundschuh , Winter has been seen as Susanne Bundschuh alongside Axel Milberg , who plays her film son Gerald, in one of the main roles in the film adaptations of Andrea Sawatzki's novels about Gundula and Gerald Bundschuh since 2015 .
