Plot and background
This series is the continuation of Polizeifunk ruft , a 52-part crime series, which in turn forms the continuation of the 39-part series Hafenpolizei . In Hamburg Transit mostly criminal cases are told in which people have been involved who are only passing through Hamburg. Various renowned directors ( Hermann Leitner , Claus Peter Witt , Dieter Wedel and others), various well-known crime authors ( Bruno Hampel , Friedhelm Werremeier and Hansjörg Martin ) and numerous well-known guest stars (including Sigurd Fitzek , Peter Schiff , Walter Jokisch , Peter Thom , Christian Wolff , Judy Winter , Edeltraut Elsner and Adrian Hoven ) participated. Recurring characters that do not appear in all episodes are Karl-Heinz Hess as the criminal investigation officer Walter Hartmann and Eckart Dux as the criminal investigation officer Schlueter, both of whom were involved in the previous series Police Radio Calls . An extraordinary number of actors appear in guest roles, who later appeared as commissioners in other series, such as Knut Hinz , Günter Lamprecht , Horst Michael Neutze , Charles Brauer , Bruno Dallansky , Uwe Dallmeier , Götz George , Karl-Heinz von Hassel , Dieter Eppler , Kurt Jaggberg , Sieghardt Rupp , Ulrich Matschoss (all Tatort ), Edgar Bessen , Arthur Brauss and the second actor of the old Rolf Schimpf .
