Neues vom Wixxer is a German comedy film from 2007 and the sequel to the 2004 film Der Wixxer . The comedy parodies the Edgar Wallace film adaptations of the 1950s and 1960s. The subtitle "After still not a novel by Edgar Wallace " bears witness to this . At the end of the film a sequel Triple WixXx is announced, but it was canceled in 2015.

The Scotland Yard investigators Inspector Very Long and Chief Inspector Even Longer are on the trail of the new wanker. One of his first victims is Rather Short, whom the inspectors revealed as a wanker at the end of the first part. You can find him in an open grave in a cemetery, pierced by arrows. Rather Short stood, as u. a. also Victoria Dickham and Very Long, on the wanker's death list. The wanker threatens to kill everyone on this list within 24 hours. Therefore, Long and Longer must now prevent the murder of Victoria, the daughter of the former Scotland Yard boss Lord David Dickham. The police officers survive a first attack by the wanker on Sir John's office with a lot of luck.

The fact that Longer is secretly in love with Victoria Dickham and does not want to disappoint her father, because he has an aversion to Longer from the very first glance, creates additional explosiveness. Longer's brother, the incompetent but handsome private detective and dance teacher Much Longer, interferes in the investigation.

Long and Longer follow a lead in the monastery of St. Vokuhila and question Sister Lucipha, who seems to know more than she reveals to the investigators. The trail seems to lead to the crazy Chucky Norris in the psychiatric clinic "Bates Hospital", which is run by the former butler Alfons Hatler.

While trying to warn another death row inmate, Very Long encounters the wanker. The two fight in which Long shoots his opponent in the left shoulder. Even Longer returns to the clinic and discovers that Chucky Norris is not in his cell, and Longer is knocked down. He is supposed to die in a bathtub. Hatler saves him and gives him the tip to look around a club.

Long accuses Longer of not being objective anymore, but they pull themselves together and enter the club. There they find the wanker's signature after a double murder and return to the clinic again. Chucky Norris tries to kill Victoria and Longer, but the attack fails and he dies on the moor. Victoria is kidnapped by the wanker.

Returning to the monastery, it turns out that the wanker wants to kill the entire English royal family gathered for a wedding with a bomb. At the last second, Long and Longer can defuse the bomb. They take the mask off the wanker and find sister Lucipha underneath - but she is only an accomplice (and mother) of the real wanker. In truth, Victoria is hiding behind the wanker. Victoria shoots her father when he tries to tell Long and Longer this. It turns out that Victoria wants to kill the royal family in order to become queen herself, with Longer as her prince consort. Since he does not want to support her in her plans, she shoots Longer, but Long throws himself in between and is hit.

Another nun in the monastery turns out to be BND special agent Inge Lenßen, charged with protecting the bridegroom, a German prince, and shoots Victoria. Lord Dickham and Long survive by an old yard trick. Victoria is admitted to Hatler's clinic, and Long and Longer make up.

The film was shot from April 26 to June 22, 2006 in and around Prague . With Ingrid van Bergen , Chris Howland , Wolfgang Volz and Joachim Fuchsberger four actors interact with who have already played in the Edgar Wallace films.

The creators had already wanted to hire Joachim Fuchsberger for Der Wixxer , but outraged he refused when he heard the title. However, after Kalkofe and Pastewka had sent him a DVD of the film, he watched the film, was enthusiastic about it and agreed to play a role in the sequel. For Fuchsberger, the film was the first film role after 33 years of abstinence from the screen. The budget of the film was 5.5 million euros.

The movie's theme song is Ghostfaced Killer (News from Wixxer Remixx) from The Dead 60s . The film features a new piece by the band Madness with the title NW5 . In the credits of the film, a new video for It must be love is running , in which not only actors from the film but also some Madness members can be seen. A Madness piece was already used in the previous film Der Wixxer - The Wizard from the 1999 Madness album Wonderful . Josef Engels is positively surprised in the newspaper Die Welt on March 14, 2007. He praises the film as a serious company and the jokes as meticulously thought out and well staged.
