Helmut Krauss
Helmut Krauss (born June 11, 1941 in Augsburg ; † August 26, 2019 in Goslar ) was a German actor , cabaret artist , dubbing actor and dubbing director . One of his best-known roles was that of the neighbor Paschulke in the ZDF series Löwenzahn between 1981 and 2020. He was also active as a radio play speaker and audio book speaker.
Life
theatre
Helmut Krauss completed an acting training and studied education . He played at the Forum Theater, the Grips Theater and the Hansa Theater in Berlin and at the State Theater in Hanover . In the 1970s he also appeared as a reciter at events organized by the left and socialist movement in West Berlin. As a cabaret artist, among other things, he appeared as a partner of Hannelore Kaub in the cabaret The Ironing Board and a few times with Dieter Hildebrandts windshield wiper .
At the Karl May Games in Bad Segeberg in 2005, Helmut Krauss took on the role of Don Geronimo, a cozy innkeeper who runs a cantina in the small Mexican town of Guaymas in the play Winnetou and the Secret of the Rock Castle. At the same time, as in previous years, he embodied the narrator. The Störtebeker Festival on Rügen hired him for the 2006 season as Ambrosio. In Bregenz he played the role of Paul Bunyan in the play of the same name under the direction of Nicholas Broadhurst . In April 2008 he toured Germany, Austria, Switzerland and Italy with the production Der Name der Rose vom Theater des Ostens .
Movie and TV
The list of appearances in television and film is long. In one of his most famous roles he was seen from 1981 to 2020 as neighbor Hermann Paschulke in Löwenzahn ; until 2005 initially at the side of Peter Lustig and since 2006 with Guido Hammesfahr . In this role, Krauss formed the bourgeois contrast to Peter Lustig, and the two mostly engaged in friendly rivalries and arguments within the episodes. He made guest appearances in productions such as Berliner Weisse mit Schuß , Tatort , Lukas und Sohn , Der Hausgeist , Praxis Bülowbogen and Pastewka .
He became known to a nationwide television audience through his portrayal of the civil investigator "Django" Fiebig in the police series Direktion City , which was produced in three seasons based on the English model of Task Force Police by the SFB at the time , together with Andreas Mannkopff , Ulli Kinalzik , Klaus Sonnenschein , Gerd Duwner and many other well-known Berlin actors.
In August 2009, the Hordes film The Founder , a satire about the former television channel Telemedial , was shot. Krauss played the title character Gerhard Hornbacher, who parodies the controversial media entrepreneur Thomas Hornauer . Krauss also took on the role of dubbing director for the film he helped produce. In 2015 Krauss worked again with director Hordes and stood next to Eva Habermann , Jiří Lábus and Katy Karrenbauer for Goblin .
In 2019, Krauss worked with Hordes for the third time and embodied Commissioner Hornbacher in the dramedy series Patchwork Gangsta produced by SWR for the media service funk . Two months before his death he was in front of the camera for the filming of Löwenzahn .
To honor his long-standing role as Paschulke at Löwenzahn , the dandelion episode Endless Durable - When Neighbors Are Friends for the First Time , was broadcast on May 17, 2020, which is intended as an homage to and farewell to Helmut Krauss.
