Hannelore Kaub

Hannelore Kaub (* 7 July 1936 in Berlin as Hannelore Kunz , died on 2. November 2017 ibid) was a German cabaret artist .

Life and accomplishments

After studying journalism in West Berlin , she switched to studying interpreting in Heidelberg . In 1959 she joined the student cabaret The Ironing Board . She wrote lyrics, directed and quickly rose to become the leading actress. After her marriage to the commercial director Erich Kaub, she took over the artistic direction in 1960. The former student cabaret became more professional over the next few years. The ironing board was initially a subtenant in rooms at the university and later moved to a cinema. In 1965 the cabaret moved from Heidelberg to West Berlin, where a new venue was found in the Tangente in Hardenbergstrasse .

From 1969 to 1981 Hannelore Kaub took a break and with her the ironing board . In 1981 she re-founded the group and worked again as the leading actress and sole author. In the early 1980s she also appeared in two episodes of the windshield wiper . After a total of 26 programs, Hannelore Kaub ended her career in 1995 with the solo program The Very Last .
