Heidi is a 3D - animated series from the year 2015, in France , Australia , Germany and Belgium was created. It is based on the book of the same name by Johanna Spyri . After Maya the Bee and Wickie and the Strong Men , it is the third cartoon classic from the 1970s that was reissued in computer-animated form on behalf of ZDF .
background
The appearance of the characters was largely taken from the animated series of the same name from 1974.
The production company was Studio 100 , and ZDF, TF1 , Nine Network , TiJi and Heidi Productions were also involved in the production. Studio 100, ZDF and the French broadcaster TF1 had already worked together on the new editions of Maya the Bee and Wickie .
Directed by Jérôme Mouscadet, the screenplay was written by Christel Gonnard. The well-known title song by Gitti & Erika , which, like many series title songs, was composed by Christian Bruhn , is sung in a shortened version by folk musician Andreas Gabalier .
The episodes each last 22 minutes.

Six DVDs for the series were released in 2015.

- The series has already been sold in over 100 countries.
- ZDFtivi offers various things about the series on the Internet. There are online games, such as a video quiz or a bug picture, and also various coloring pages to print out.
- Studio 100 also offers coloring pages and online games for the series on the Internet.
- In April 2015, an app called Heidi - Adventure in the Mountains was released for the series, which contains various educational games for children.
