Frank Ciazynski

Frank Ciazynski (* 1943 ) is a German actor and voice actor .

life and work

After studying at the Ernst Busch Academy of Dramatic Arts in Berlin , he worked at various theaters in the GDR and played over 50 major roles in the classical and modern repertoire. He also took on numerous roles in DEFA productions, including in the television series Die Lindstedts and the film Die liebe Luder . He appeared several times in crime fiction formats such as The prosecutor has the word: sentenced on probation or police call 110: a restless night . Even after the reunification of Germany , he continued to be in front of the camera (e.g. in Behind Gates - Der Frauenknast or Wolffs Revier ). He also worked at the Berlin cabaret Die Stachelschweine and was hired for the comedy in the dark by Peter Shaffer at the Hansa-Theater Berlin.

His greatest successes were McMurphy in One Flew Over the Cuckoo's Nest by Dale Wasserman and Luther in the play of the same name by John Osborne at the Mitteldeutsche Landestheater . One critic said: "In the young, passionate Frank Ciazynski, the director finds a Luther who may mean for our space what the British Albert Finney is said to have brought to the world premiere in 1961 at the Westend Theater in London!"

In addition to his work as an actor, dubbing has increasingly become the focus of his artistic activity in recent years . He can be heard in Star Wars: Episode I - The Phantom Menace as well as in The Clone Wars episode traces as the German dubbing voice of Finis Valorum . Children, he is likely to be the voice of the animated -Figur Arktos in the radio play - and TV episodes from Tabaluga have become known. In 2015 he spoke the conductor in the television series Heidi .
