Car 54, please report (original title Car 54, Where Are You? ) Is an American sitcom directed by Nat Hiken . From 1961 to 1963, 60 episodes were produced. The series is about two New York Police officers who patrol the Bronx together.
content
Officer Gunther Toody and Officer Francis Muldoon are patrolling the New York Bronx together, stepping from one faux pas to the other. The small, stocky, curious, but not very light-colored Toody is married to the loud, dominant Lucille. Muldoon, an American of Irish descent, is very tall and lanky, calm and intelligent. He is a shy bachelor who lives with his mother and two younger sisters. Also often at the center of the action are the befriended colleague Leo Schnauser and his wife Sylvia.
background
Fred Gwynne and Al Lewis were hired after filming was completed on The Munsters series that eventually made them famous around the world.
Broadcast in Germany
In 1965, only 15 episodes ran on German television under the title Wagen 54, please report to ZDF. The following spoke: Horst Kempe for Gunther Toody, Gerd Grasse for Francis Muldoon and Erhard Köster for Captain Block.
