ZDFtivi is the ZDF children's and youth program , which was launched in 1997. It is always broadcast in the mornings on weekends and on public holidays.

Many ZDFtivi programs were or will be repeated on KiKA , for example the ZDF program classics 1, 2 or 3 , Löwenzahn , Tabaluga tivi and PUR + . ZDFtivi also often shows numerous reruns of Astrid Lindgren films or cartoon classics such as Maya the Bee , Heidi , Wickie and the strong men as well as Bibi Blocksberg , who have been one of the most popular ZDF brands for decades. The series produced by Jonathan M. Shiff (including Total Genial , H2O - Suddenly Mermaid , etc.), which were created in cooperation with the Australian broadcaster Network Ten and premiered on KiKA, as well as fairy tale films are also part of the ZDFtivi program. Other ZDFtivi programs are Siebenstein and Marvi Hämmer , which are currently only on KiKA.

The program currently runs until 10:25 a.m. on Saturday and until 9:00 a.m. on Sunday, in the early years it ran until 1:00 p.m. on Saturdays and again between 10:15 a.m. and 11:30 a.m. on Sundays. ZDFtivi previously had several of its own designs and station logos, most recently an orange-colored, smiling face. On February 28, 2015, it was standardized with the ZDF design.
