action
On a stormy night, the spaceship of teenage aliens Zoey and Kiki, who come from the planet Lumina, explodes and the two land in the sleepy coastal town of Lightning Point . Since their spaceship can no longer be steered, they have to accept a longer stay on earth. But they are not averse to this, as they can finally realize their dream: Surfing in the Pacific. They make friends with the surf girl Amber, who discovers her secret and takes them in. However, there are always complications with Zoey and Kiki, as they have to remain undetected. Amber's best friend Luca in particular always finds out about them, but the three of them also have to find out that Zoey and Kiki are probably not the first aliens in Lightning Point .
characters
- Amber Mitchell

She lives with her mother, who works as a police sergeant , and her dog Piper. She is friends with Luca Benedict, but doesn't share his obsession with aliens. When she's not teaching Zoey and Kiki, she's giving surf lessons to young children.
- Zoey
- Zoey is smarter, wilder, and more impulsive than most people on earth. She wants to be in control of every situation, but that's difficult on an unknown planet. Zoey is ambitious by nature and she can't resist taking on a challenge to surf. In doing so, she attracts the attention of Brandon Benedict, but at the same time the hatred of Brandon's friend Madison.

She also wants to get to know the animals, the people and everything else. Kiki wants to understand what it really means to be human. Kiki is often homesick for Lumina, but as she develops feelings for Luca, she realizes that staying on earth has its advantages.
- Luca Benedict
- He's an outsider at Lightning Point as he doesn't surf but does believe in UFOs and extraterrestrial life. This makes him an easy target for Brandon and his friends. Amber is the only person who really understands Luca. The two have been friends since childhood when they were neighbors. When Zoey and Kiki arrive, Luca believes he has found signs of extraterrestrial activity. He decides to investigate further. As he and Kiki get closer, his belief in the presence of aliens grows stronger. He doesn't know that Kiki is an alien.
- Brandon Benedict
- Brandon is the most popular surfer in town, which is why he's a minor local celebrity. He's also the best surfer until Zoey shows up. He is immediately enthusiastic about her, which his friend Madison does not please. He is Luca's adoptive brother. He teases his brother because he believes in UFOs and aliens.
- Madison

Reviews
“'Alien Surfgirls' seems to be ten years late because of the first episode. The few science fiction elements and the banal story are likely to be too harmless and lax even for teenage viewers. Anyone who doesn't go on vacation this year but doesn't want to do without the sea, the beach and surfing can take a look. "
“Are there only beautiful, thin, long-haired and sporty girls in Australia? Apparently. Because like in other Australian teen series that run on Ki.Ka, this cast is as smooth as from a Photoshop textbook. The fact that the girl, who is annoyed about the chaos of love between her boyfriend and the blonde beauty from space, is portrayed as a mean bitch, is really annoying. A little less bikini beauty and more cheeky girl power would have done this visit from space good. "
