Marvi hammers

from Wikipedia, the free encyclopedia

The 3D animated character Marvi Hämmer is the presenter of his own children's TV show, which has been running on ZDFtivi and KiKA since 2004 . It is not currently broadcast. Marvi, voiced by Stefan Kaminski , is a teenage rat who secretly lives in the desk of a television studio . He has copied the operation of the studio from people and, when they have left the studio, plays himself a presenter. He shows films from the animal, plant and scientific world of National Geographic and experiences his own adventures in the (studio) world of humans during the show. Marvi is a likeable would-be who, with his enthusiasm for scientific subjects, often overshoots the mark, often gets himself into trouble and thus creates involuntary comedy. The world reporters Jaycee, Mingh and Roberto serve as a contact to the world outside the studio.

The television show

The complete title of the TV show is “Marvi Hämmer presents NATIONAL GEOGRAPHIC WORLD”. So far 52 episodes have been broadcast on ZDFtivi and KI.KA (Tuesdays to Fridays 12:20 p.m. and Sundays 4:25 p.m.). The bilingual , i.e. in parts bilingual program, contains two longer articles from the world of animals and knowledge and shorter sections such as Marvi's hammers or a quiz that focuses on exotic animals. Marvi's actions and adventures in the studio form the central theme of the show. There is also an episode with the World Reporters, who answer a knowledge question asked by Marvi during the course of the program.

The world reporter

The World Reporters, animated by Marvi Hämmer from the company 4K, are three 2D cartoon characters who go on little adventures around the world on Marvi's behalf. They only speak English as this is their common language. The aim is to introduce children to their first foreign language in a playful way - a so-called immersive learning situation.

Mingh (voiced by Jerry Marwig)

Mingh from Asia is the group's scientist. He is responsible for the facts about animal species, foreign countries and customs.

Jaycee (voiced by Alex Avenell)

Reporter Jaycee from Africa is the only girl in the group and is responsible for nature, adventure and interaction with the animals that the World Reporters are looking for.

Roberto (voiced by Bill Andrews)

Roberto is from New York and is the group's photographer and is very knowledgeable about volcanoes and other things that have to do with the earth.

Janitor Kruse

Kruse (also voiced by Stefan Kaminski) is the caretaker in the TV studio and Marvi Hammer's great "opponent". Marvi has to hide from him, otherwise he would undoubtedly fly out of his home. On the other hand, Marvi allows himself a lot of fun with him.

Seasons

The first season consisted of 20 episodes of 25 minutes each. It was shown in KI.KA in 2003/2004 and repeated on ZDFtivi from September 2004. The second season ran from August 13, 2006 to April 1, 2007 on ZDF and comprised 32 episodes. A third season of a further 26 episodes was broadcast on KI.KA on Sundays at 4:25 p.m. For the new episodes in 16: 9 format , Marvi moved into a larger studio with a director, kitchenette and science corner. Of course, he immediately explored the premises and discovered two stylish new buzzer buttons that are needed for a knowledge test.

marketing

In addition to the television program, Marvi Hämmer was the (virtual) editor-in-chief of the print magazine “NATIONAL GEOGRAPHIC WORLD”, the children's format of the German edition of “NATIONAL GEOGRAPHIC”. Marvi presented knowledge news and reports in each issue. The booklet was accompanied by an audio book (Marvi Hammer's audio book for the magazine), on which all the English texts from the booklet can be read and Marvi experiences other little adventures.

"Marvi Hämmer presents National Geographic World" is produced by YOUA Edutainment GmbH & Co. KG in Hamburg and is a cooperation of the broadcasters KI.KA , RBB , WDR and ZDF . 16 specially compiled Marvi adventures and audio reports have already been published as audio books at DHV Hörverlag.
