The Jungs-WG is a German documentary soap developed for children and young people . It is broadcast every two years on KiKA and is currently being shot in Amsterdam .
principle
In the KiKA docu-soap, five 13- to 17-year-old boys try life without parents. They live together in a shared apartment for four weeks and have to support themselves. They also have to take care of a social project while they are in the shared apartment.
Since 2010, Die Mädchen-WG , a counterpart of the series in which girls live in a shared flat instead of boys, has been broadcast.

In the first episode, the five boys meet for the first time and move into their shared apartment . In the second episode, the five explore the area around the shared villa for the first time. They meet three girls from the neighborhood, who invite the boys to dinner in the shared apartment. The next day the boys in the flat set up their rooms. In the fourth episode not only the sales talents of Aaron, Alexey, Marlon, Michael and Paolo are put to the test. The new beds have yet to be put together. In episode five, Aaron, Alexey, Marlon, Michael and Paolo go to the amusement park and take care of the housekeeping when they return. In the sixth episode, the shared apartment organizes a community project: The five have to think about how to collect money for a social project, a second-hand shop for the needy. Aaron and Alexey advocate street music, Michael and Paolo want to earn money as a pantomime and Marlon plans to give tennis lessons . The following day the five flat share members learn to cook. In the next episode, the boys in the flat explore the nightlife for the first time: a rock band performs in the youth center . In episode nine, the five from the boys' apartment also have to deal with the perils of the household. It gets particularly unsavory because the flat share has a rubbish problem. Since the vast amounts of waste were not properly separated and sorted, the garbage disposal left the bags and bins on the roadside. In episode ten, the summer mood is all the rage: swimming in the lake, plenty of sunshine and a round of barbecue on the shared grill. There is a lot of talk, first discussions about parents and family are pending. In the next episode, Aaron, Alexey, Marlon, Michael and Paolo have girls visiting again: But before the guests arrive for dinner, they first have to tidy up, with pizza and coke the question is whether there are girls or boys in the family have easier. The next day the boys help out in a soup kitchen for the homeless. In the thirteenth episode, they prepare for a camping trip that takes place the day after. Episode 15 is again about the boys' social project. This time Marlon is raising money for the homeless initiative by giving coaching lessons in the neighboring tennis club. The next day the community goes to town and buy clothes there. While the other boys are educating themselves in the museum, Michael and Paolo collect in the seventeenth episode for the social project of the shared flat. In the penultimate episode, the five visit their social project for the last time. In the last episode, the boys get a visit from home for the first time. Parents, siblings and friends have come to celebrate with the five. The next morning the time in a shared apartment is finally over and the five boys split up.

At the beginning of the series, Danny, Jonas, Charly, Alex and Johannes move into their holiday flat share in Palma . In the second episode, the boys do water sports. In the evening they get to know regional specialties such as pork foot and brain. The next day the shared flat wants to get to know Spanish girls, go banana boating and island shopping is planned. In episode five, they support the Red Cross lifeguards as live guards and with beach surveillance. At the beginning there is an introduction to the tasks of the lifesaver. The next day there is a girl visit to the flat for the first time. In episode seven, a Spanish cooking course is on the program: The five learn how to make a real paella. In the afternoon of the next day, the boys visit a football camp in the neighborhood and take part in professional training. Later there is a small national game against five Spanish boys. In the seventeenth episode, the boys' flat on Mallorca has girls again in the evening. Together, everyone prepares the freshly caught fish in the morning. The day after, the five of them record their flat share rap under professional conditions. In episode 19, the boys are planning a big party to say goodbye to the island. They also want to prepare a paella for this . The five get the ingredients at the market in Palma. On the last day Danny, Jonas, Charly, Alex and Johannes move out of the villa and say goodbye to each other.

On the ninth day of the boys' flat, Felix, Joel, Lukas, Philipp and Tom do a biathlon training. In the tenth episode, the boys' flat share their social project is on the program: On behalf of the Red Cross, they help a senior couple from their holiday resort in the household. In episode eleven they cross deep mountain gorges while canyoning, in episode twelve they take a cooking course. On the thirteenth day, the shared apartment spends one night in a self-made igloo . In the first episode, Luc, Ole, Leroy, Nils and Robin meet for the first time and move into their villa on Lake Garda in Italy. On day two, the boys go to the sailing course for the first time . The next day the boys take care of the household, on day four the social project of the shared apartment starts. It is about nature conservation on Lake Garda. In episode five they go paragliding in the mountains, in the evening to a party at the marina. In the next episode, the boys' shared flat cleans a fish tank from the trout breeding program on Lake Garda. In episode seven the boys go canyoning, in episode eight and nine they go kite surfing . In the tenth episode, the shared apartment visits the sailing course again. On the fifteenth day, the boys clear the beach of rubbish and meet Arona from the nature conservation initiative on Lake Garda. He tells how he came to Europe as a refugee from Africa. On day 16 in the boys' flat, Leroy, Luc, Nils, Ole and Robin have to prove their sailing skills. After many training units in the past few weeks, the regatta is on. The next day, the boys learn the secrets of original Italian pizza baking from a traditional pizza maker. In the penultimate episode, they plan a graduation party that they hold the next day. At the end of the last episode, the boys say goodbye and move out of the villa.
