action

Alexandra Wilson ( Emily Robins ), called Alex, is a girl who suddenly learns on her 16th birthday that she is a princess of the mysterious kingdom of Manjipoor. A boy named Kuru ( Miles Szanto ) and a magical elephant named Anjala help Alexandra improve her magical powers. Kuru easily falls in love with Alex, but knows that as the princess' servant he will have no chance. Alex is not in love with Kuru, but feels responsible for him in many places. She sees him as a good friend and likes to have him around her.

Alex's adoptive family consists of her parents Anita and Jim, played by Alyce Platt and Grant Piro , and their younger sister Zoey ( Eva Lazzaro )

Manjipoor

Manjipoor (named after the real Indian state of Manipur ) used to be an ordinary country north of India. Witches, wizards and fortune tellers who were persecuted in other countries for possessing magical powers found refuge there. The surrounding kingdoms were jealous of Manjipoor's wealth, culture and art, so they wanted to conquer it. The royal family asked the witches, wizards and fortune tellers to save Manjipoor and hide it from the rest of the world. With the help of magic, the magicians manipulated the vibration field of Manjipoor and changed its frequency. Manjipoor disappeared for the rest of the world, but continued to exist in a parallel world. Now only the members of the royal family have magical powers. Only the elephant Anjala, who also has magical powers, can travel back and forth between the worlds or the frequencies and the rest of the world. But Alex and Kuru manage the impossible (there is a whole book about that): Using speakers that JB borrowed, they travel to Manjipoor without Anjala and save the country from Diva.

Characters

In Alexandra's world

Alexandra Wilson '( Princess Liliuokalani Paresha Khaled Persephone Amanirenas von Manjipoor , German speaker: Mia Diekow ), who is actually called "Alex" by everyone, lives with her "parents" Jim and Anita and her little "sister" Zoey. Sometimes, however, it causes strange effects, for example on her 16th birthday when, after oversleeping a rehearsal from the school band and being thrown out of the band, she unintentionally turns back time. On this birthday, a mysterious boy named Kuru and an elephant named Anjala suddenly appear at her place. Kuru tells her about a magical kingdom called Manjipoor and keeps calling her a princess. He explains to her that she has been adopted. Her real parents are Queen Nefarie and the former King of Manjipoor; however, she later finds out that the Queen's closest adviser and secret husband, Omar, is her father. She plays in a band with her best friends, Amanda and JB, and her boyfriend Marcus ; there she plays the guitar and sings.

Amanda ( Maddy Tyers , German voiceover: Saskia Bellahn ) and JB ( Sebastian Gregory , German voiceover: Patrick Bach ) are Alex's best friends. You know about Manjipoor and have been there before - there JB falls in love with a girl named Cosma. At first they don't believe Alex's story, but Anjala, who suddenly appears out of nowhere in front of them, finally convinces them. They play in a band with Alex, who plays rhythm guitar, and Marcus. Amanda plays bass guitar and is the lead singer; JB plays the drums.

Marcus ( Liam Hemsworth , German speaker: Rasmus Borowski ) is Alex's friend. He doesn't know about Manjipoor. Alex tries to tell him, but even when he sees Anjala, he doesn't believe her and thinks she just wants to get rid of him. So she uses the time spell and undoes everything, so that Marcus doesn't know anything about Manjipoor after all. With Kuru and Alex getting into trouble with Manjipoor at times, Marcus becomes jealous because he thinks they are a couple behind his back. After Alex can't get to a recording because of an argument with Anjala, he breaks up with Alex. This also breaks up the band.

Taylor ( Eka Darville , German voice over artist : Tobias Schmidt ) is the band's new drummer after Alex and Amanda moved. At the beginning of the second season he separates from Veronika and later meets with Amanda.

Veronika ( Alexandra Park , German voice-over artist: Kaya Marie Möller ) is Taylor's ex-girlfriend and always tries to make her band better than Alex's. However, when she discovers that Alex seems to be the princess of a distant kingdom, the bitchy Veronika turns into a devoted admirer of Alex and tries to impress and support her with special gifts such as parties or dance performances to reinforce her stage appearance. This is particularly annoying to Alex's best friend Amanda: She fears that Alex will only spend time with Veronika, but Alex can calm her down.

In Manjipoor

Kuru ( Miles Szanto , German narrator: Jannik Endemann ) was sent into Alex's world by Vashan to convince Alex that she was the princess and to teach her magic. Vashan chose him for this job because he thought that Kuru couldn't do this job. With his assistant Anjala he can persuade them, but Alex is not sure whether the throne should really climb. Kuru also has certain feelings for Alex. However, he cannot show this because his social position is still very important to him (Kuru is a commoner / Alex, on the other hand, is the princess of Manjipoor).

Anjala is a 604 year old female elephant from Manjipoor. She is the royal elephant and she alone can travel back and forth between Manjipoor and Alex's world, and she can also take people with her. It can simply disappear and reappear elsewhere. She has three magical rubies to aid her in this. She has to crown every new ruler of Manjipoor and thus communicate to everyone that she sees the respective person as suitable.

Omar ( Brett Climo , German speaker: Volker Hanisch ) coordinates Kuru's task in Manjipoor. He is the Queen's “Royal Advisor”. As it turns out later, he's also Alex's father. He was also secretly married to Queen Nefarie. Since he lives in Manjipoor, he can tell Alex a lot about Manjipoor and her mother too. He is also called very wise.

Vashan ( Damien Bodie , German speaker: Asad Schwarz ) is Alex's selfish cousin. He wants to rule Manjipoor and is happy to learn that Queen Nefarie - Alex's mother - has died; but then he learns that this one has a daughter: Alex. However, he doesn't want to give up and tries everything to get rid of Alex. At some point he realizes that Diva is more than a servant. He too has magical powers until Diva steals them from him.

Diva ( Emelia Burns , German speaker: Angela Quast ) thought everyone in the series was a servant of the royal family. But she only pretends - because nobody knows that she is actually over 600 years old and has been waiting for the throne just as long. Because in reality she is a sorceress, therefore she also has magical powers and wants to become ruler over Manjipoor. For this she had already killed the king and tried several times to kill the queen. When Vashan, Omar and later also Alex notice their powers, she takes their magical powers from Vashan and Alex, locks them in a dungeon and first Anjala puts on magical chains. When Alex escapes, one of her own spells destroys these chains and thanks to Anjala, Alex gets her magical powers back and defeats Diva by using the True Shape spell.

Cosma ( Cleopatra Coleman ) works in the Manjipoor market and is in love with JB. But they hardly see each other, because JB is mostly in Alex's world. She helps Alex and Kuru defeat Diva.

Johann ( Jordan Prosser , German speaker: Tim Kreuer ) was transformed into a white mouse by Vashan (episode: Mouse or Man?), But Alex redeems him with the help of her magic powers (which shows Alex's love for her people). Johann also helps her and Kuru to defeat Diva.

Caleb ( Richard Brancatisano , German speaker: Christian Stark ) lives with his sister Zamira in the dangerous side of Manjipoor. He falls in love with Alex and at the beginning everything seems to be fine, but he reads the book and goes to the temple, where he gets magical powers. His sister and Caleb at the beginning ally with Diva, but Caleb is later against it and tries everything to protect Alex. But Alex thinks he is still Diva's ally and that love is just an act. She is mad about it and ends the relationship.

Zamira ( Georgina Haig , German speaker: Kristina von Weltzien ) is Caleb's sister and allies with Diva, but when she realizes that Diva has murdered her mother, she lets her down and helps Alex defeat Diva.
