Kristina von Weltzien

Kristina von Weltzien (* 1973 in Kiel ) is a German voice actress .

Life

Von Weltzien is the daughter of actress Isabella Grothe and studied at the Frese Drama Studios in Hamburg. After her training, she had smaller dubbing roles, but from 1994 she took on her first leading roles as a dubbing actress. After she could be heard as Amanda in the Canadian youth series Amanda and Betsy , which ran from 1994 to 1997 on ZDF, she spoke the protagonist Shirley Holmes from 1997 to 2000 and the role of Po in the children's series Teletubbies in 1999 .

In 2004 she was nominated for the best female dubbing lead role in Lilja 4-ever at the “Gala of Great Voices” . This was followed by dubbed roles in the Australian series McLeod's Töchter (2001-2006) as Tess McLeod, in 2008 in H 2 O - Suddenly Mermaid as the scheming Charlotte Watsford and since 2009 in the crime series The Mentalist as Agent Van Pelt.

Von Weltzien also worked on the German adaptation of several British literature adaptations for the BBC , for example she lent her voice to Kate Beckinsale in the television film Emma (2007), Gemma Arterton in the modern "Pride and Prejudice" version If Jane Austen knew ( 2009) and Olivia Hallinan in the hit series Lark Rise to Candleford (2009) about 19th century country life.

She was also featured in many radio plays and audio books such as TKKG or Hanni and Nanni . Kristina von Weltzien lent the actress Saskia Burmeister from the series Total Genial her voice.

Kristina von Weltzien currently lives in Hamburg.
