Laura Maureen Bertram (born September 5, 1978 in Toronto , Ontario ) is a Canadian actress .

life and career

Her two younger sisters, Heather and Jennifer, are also well known actresses. Bertram made her first attempts on the stage of various operas with the Canadian Children's Opera Chorus . She trained ballet for another nine years until her manager recommended that she try her hand at acting. She attended Queen's University in Kingston for a year before she received an honorary degree in European history (1485-1700) from Guelph University, Ontario. In Germany she became known for the impersonation of Amanda Zimm in the series Amanda and Betsy and in the role of Trance Gemini in the series Andromeda .
