Andrea Anders

Andrea Anders (born May 10, 1975 in Madison , Wisconsin ) is an American actress .

Life

In 1997 Anders did her Bachelor of Fine Arts at the University of Wisconsin-Stevens Point and in 2001 she did her Masters at Rutgers University in New Jersey . After graduating, she moved to New York City for two years and then to Los Angeles , where she still lives today. In 2001 Anders played in several episodes of the soap operas The Guiding Light and One Life to Live . She also made a guest appearance in the successful drama series Law & Order , before appearing several times in the television series Oz in the role of Donna Degenhart .

From 2002 to 2003 she played the role of Elaine Robinson in the famous play The Graduate on Broadway in New York City. Previously, she had stage experience at the Guthrie Theater in Minneapolis and the Arena Stage in Washington DC .

2002 a role was different in the remake of The Stepford Wives alongside Nicole Kidman and Bette Midler , who was released of 2004. She also starred in the pilot episodes of News to Me and Spellbound , which did not end in a series. Anders became known for her role as Alex Garrett in the sitcom Joey on NBC .

Anders was in a relationship with fellow actor and Joey co-star Matt LeBlanc from 2006 to 2014 . She is the sister of screenwriter and director Sean Anders .
