Mr. Sunshine is an American sitcom by and with Matthew Perry , produced by Sony Pictures Television for ABC in 2010 . The series had its world premiere in Canada on February 7, 2011 on CTV before it was seen on February 9, 2011 in the US on ABC . On May 13, 2011, the series was discontinued by ABC, although only 9 of the 13 episodes produced had aired.

Mr. Sunshine tells the story of 40-year-old Ben Donovan, the manager of the old sports arena The Sunshine Center in San Diego . He takes care of inquiries, breakdowns and the employees. He organizes the show for more than 17,000 people. Ben works with the owner, Crystal Cohen, who is attractive, powerful, and unpredictable. He also works with Alice, the marketing manager who is also his girlfriend, with Alonzo, the former, attractive basketball star, and with his pretty assistant Heather. Crystal's son Roman is sweet but also clueless and drives Ben insane.

In Canada, the first season began broadcasting on February 7th and in the United States on February 9th, 2011. After broadcasting with 10.5 million viewers and a market share of 10 percent for ABC, the ratings dropped to below five million viewers towards the end from. As a result, ABC did not extend the series and ended broadcasting after nine episodes broadcast. One of the reasons for the low audience figures is the positioning against American Idol of the channel Fox .
The sixx broadcaster began broadcasting all 13 episodes it produced on March 10, 2013.
