James Lesure

James Lesure (born September 21, 1970 in Los Angeles , California ) is an American actor , best known for his role in the television series Las Vegas .

Life

James Lesure was born in Los Angeles in 1970, where he also spent his youth. After high school , he first served at the United States Air Force Academy , but then moved to the University of Southern California , where he received his Bachelor of Arts in theater. During a semester abroad at the University of Kent in Canterbury , England, he played in the musical Hair and in the play The Island . After completing his studies, he worked for theater productions in the Los Angeles area, including the role of Macduff in William Shakespeare's Macbeth .

In 1995 he started acting in film and television. After a few supporting roles, he achieved his breakthrough with the sitcom For Your Love (1998-2002). It was followed by the character of Mike Cannon in the television series Las Vegas (2003-2008). In 2005 he also appeared in the film The Ring 2 . In 2011 he starred in the sitcom Mr. Sunshine .
