Olivia Hallinan

Olivia Hallinan (born January 20, 1985 in Twickenham , England ) is a British actress . She was best known for her portrayals in the British television series Lark Rise to Candleford , Sugar Rush and Girls in Love .

life and career

Hallinan was born in Twickenham . Hallinan completed her acting training at the All Expression School, which was run by her mother. She then went to Manchester University and studied drama and English.

From 2003 to 2005 Hallinan played the lead role of Ellie in the television series Girls in Love . Hallinan also acted as the narrator on the series. The viewer follows the life of Ellie as she grows up with her father and his friend Anna or spends time with her three best friends.

In 2005 and 2006 she starred in the television series Sugar Rush . She played the lead role of 15-year-old Kim, who falls in love with her best friend Sugar.

In 2008 she was cast as Laura Timmins in Lark Rise to Candleford . In 2009 she won the Television and Radio Industries Club Award for her portrayal . She played the role of Laura Timmins until 2011.

In addition to her appearances in film and television, Hallinan also appears in various plays. In 2014 she played the title role in the play Lotty's War at the Manchester Opera House. In 2015 Hallinan toured with Terence Rattigan's play Flare Path , directed by Justin Audibert. She played Patricia Graham.
