Bridie Carter

Bridie Carter (born December 18, 1970 in Melbourne , Victoria ) is an Australian actress .

Life

Bridie Carter made her actress debut in 1995 on the Australian television series Home and Away . A number of other television and cinema productions followed before she became internationally known from 2001 through the role of Tess McLeod in the series McLeod's Daughters . In 2006 she left the series in favor of her family planning.

In 2007 she took part in Dancing with the Stars , the Australian version of Let's Dance , and won the show with her dance partner Craig Monley.

In 2004 Carter married the designer Michael Wilson. The couple have two sons, born in 2004 and 2010. She is very involved with charities like Actors for Refugees and A Just Australia .

Awards & nominations

Bridie Carter was nominated seven times for a Logie Award for her role in McLeod's Daughters from 2003 to 2006 .
