Eka Darville (born April 11, 1989 in Cairns , Queensland ) is an Australian actor . At the beginning of his career, he mostly appeared in Australian television series aimed specifically at younger audiences.

Life

Darville was born in Cairns, Queensland. He attended Byron Bay High School and later lived in Byron Bay , New South Wales , and Sydney . Darville took acting classes at Robert Owens Drama School and Newtown High School of the Performing Arts.

He made his acting debut in 2006 in Answered by Fire . This was followed by a guest role in East of Everything (2008). He had first major roles as Adam Bridge in the third season of Blue Water High and as Scott Truman , the red Power Ranger , in Power Rangers RPM. Around this time he modeled for the youth magazine Dolly .

Darville gained international fame in 2010 through his role as Pietros in a total of six episodes of the Spartacus series . The following year he took on the role of drummer Taylor in the second season of the youth series Elephant Princess , as well as the role of Max Pope in three episodes of Terra Nova . In 2011 he also appeared as Hendo for the musical film The Sapphires , which premiered at the Cannes International Film Festival in 2012 .

In The Originals , he played the role of the vampire Diego in the first season , which he previously played in his backdoor pilot episode as part of the series Vampire Diaries . In the series Marvel's Jessica Jones he took on the role of Malcolm Ducasse . In 2017 he also played him in the eight-part mini-series Marvel's The Defenders .
