action
In the series, the little green dragon Tabaluga experiences adventures in fictional grassland with his friends. Here he has to deal regularly with his adversary, the snowman and ruler of the ice world, Arktos.
characters
main characters
- Tabaluga is a small green dragon , ruler of grasslands and hero of the series. He is very naive and inexperienced, but develops into a real hero. Since he is a dragon, he does not tolerate cold well.
- Arktos is the series' main antagonist . He is a living snowman and ruler of the ice world. He always tries to rob Tabaluga of its mighty fire in order to then be able to take over grassland with his power over ice and snow.
- Humsin is the second antagonist. It was introduced a little later when a trade in an octopus temporarily forced Arktos to cease to be hostile. He is a living sandstorm and dreams of turning grassland into a desert.
- Tyrion is the late father of Tabaluga, who from time to time stood by Tabaluga as a ghost (or in a dream) and gave him new strength. He is later frozen by Arktos and disappears from the plot.
Minor characters
- Nessaja is a very old and wise turtle . She is often at Tabaluga's side with good advice.
- The snow rabbit Happy is Tabaluga's best friend and supports him in his fight against Arktos.
- The mole Digby, as well as the bee Buzz and the hummingbird Ruby are also friends with the little dragon.
- The eagle owl Shouhu lived near Arktos to better control it. He has a crystal ball with which he can look into the past and present. Since episode 1.25 (season 1, episode 25) he has lived in grassland. There he acts as a kind of wise druid with many potions.
- The penguin James is Arktos' butler.
- The vulture Vultur is Arktos' ambassador and spy. In the 2nd season he runs over to Humsin (especially since it is warmer there), in the 3rd season he belongs to Arktos again, but helps the grasslanders after Tabaluga saved his life.
- The chameleon Kayo is Humsin's crafty assistant. In the third season he runs over to Arktos. But when he doesn't really respect him, he overflows to the grasslands.
