Edeltraut Elsner (born April 8, 1936 in Berlin ; † December 28, 2017 there ) was a German actress , cabaret artist and voice actress .

Act

Edeltraut Elsner was the daughter of the SFB director Reinhold Elsner . She became known for her role in the 1959 anti-war film Die Brücke by Bernhard Wicki , in which she played the young hairdresser Barbara, who has a relationship with the owner of the hairdressing business, the father of one of the 16-year-old protagonists of the film.

Edeltraut Elsner was then seen in many films from the 1960s and 1970s, including Die kahle Sängerin , Das Landhaus , company party , Not only at Christmas time , wages and love , songs from the kitchen or Pension Schöller . She often took on leading roles, so she played the part of mother Mock in the series Peter is the Boss , Röschen Schmidt-Koblank in Die Koblanks , Dr. Mehring in Die Drei Klumberger and Martha Riepe in Jauche and Levkojen from 1977.

She also appeared in guest roles in many different series such as Hafenpolizei , Der kleine Doktor , Derrick , I marry a family or Praxis Bülowbogen . In 1992 she mimed Margot Hahnich in 19 episodes in the RTL daily soap Gute Zeiten, Bad Zeiten .

As a voice actress she could be heard as the voice of Joan Sims in the Carry-On film series . She also voiced Digby on the Tabaluga series (from 1997). Already in the 1970s she dubbed several well-known actresses, for example Eileen Brennan in The Clou , Meg Foster in Sunshine or Karen Valentine in Sisters Share Everything . In series such as A Colt for All Occasions , Drew Carey Show , The Waltons , Bonanza , Love Boat or Hotel , she has spoken many episode parts.

As a radio play speaker, she worked on The Little Vampire and Tabaluga, among others . She was heard three times in the radio play series Bibi Blocksberg .

Edeltraut Elsner was a member of the Berlin porcupine ensemble from the early 1960s to the mid-1970s .

She was married to the actor and dubbing actor Wolfgang Digit and is the mother of Julia Digit . She was buried in the Berlin-Grunewald cemetery.
