The drama series Hotel aired on ABC from 1983 to 1988 . The series was set in the fictional St. Gregory Hotel in San Francisco . Exterior views of the St. Gregory come from the Fairmont Hotel in San Francisco, where the pilot film was shot before switching to studio sets during the shooting of the actual series for interior shots.

The acts of the episodes were basically self-contained and dealt with the fate of the hotel guests and, in some cases, the hotel staff.

The main characters were James Brolin , Connie Sellecca , Nathan Cook and Shari Belafonte . Selleca was nominated for a Golden Globe Award in 1987 , and Brolin was also nominated in 1984 and 1985.

Hotel was produced by Aaron Spelling Productions . In the pilot, Bette Davis appeared as a hotel owner, but she was unable to continue her role in the series due to illness, so she was replaced by Anne Baxter in the role of Victoria Cabot. Baxter starred in the 1950 film All About Eva Davis' Antagonist.

The series is based on themes from Arthur Hailey's novel Hotel , which was filmed in 1966 , and gave many guest stars the opportunity to appear.

Publications

The pilot film Im St. Gregory by KSM was released on DVD on April 10, 2017 . On the same day, KSM released the complete first season on 6 DVDs. On September 20, 2018, KSM released the complete second season on 7 DVDs. The complete third season was released on December 6, 2018.

KSM has announced the complete fourth season on 5 DVDs for March 28, 2019.

Voice actor

The series was set to music at the Arena Synchron in Berlin . Marianne Groß and Heinz Freitag wrote the dialogue books, Friday also directed the dialogue with Harald Philipp and Klaus von Wahl .
