Alexandra Lange

Alexandra Lange (born November 5, 1951 ; real name Alexandra Sigrid Lange-Baehr ) is a German voice actress .

Life

Alexandra Lange completed her acting training at the Hochschule der Künste (HdK) in Hamburg . In the 1970s she began working as a dubbing actress for cinema and television.

She spoke particularly often for Margot Kidder , who was also her first dubbing work, for example in her appearances as Lois Lane in the Superman films Superman , Superman II - Alone Against All and Superman III - The Steel Flash as well as in Crime and Punishment and The Last Sign , but also in the television series Outer Limits - The Unknown Dimension and Smallville . Sharon Gless lent her voice for the series Cagney & Lacey as well as for the film Mörderin aus Liebe .

She is the German voice of Morgan Fairchild in Falcon Crest , Connie Sellecca in Hotel , Barbara Babcock and Sheree J. Wilson in Dallas and Leann Hunley in Der Denver-Clan . In Lost she took over the part of Lillian Hurst and in Star Trek: Deep Space Nine that of Salome Jens . Her other well-known television dubbing roles include Piper Laurie in Twin Peaks and Jane Wymark in Inspector Barnaby .

She also voiced the cartoon character Blondie Springer in The Jungle Olympics (1980).

She is also active as a speaker for radio plays and computer games , and designs audio books and readings by authors . Occasionally she also appears as an actress - for example, she played at the Hamburg Ohnsorg Theater in the early 1970s .

In 2012 she succeeded Joachim Kerzel as the narrator in the radio play series Geisterjäger John Sinclair from episode 71. In the Classic episodes, she took over the role as narrator from episode 10.

Alexandra Lange lives in Berlin , where she mainly works professionally. There she is also a member of the artist group Les Montmartrois de Berlin .
