Caroline Blakiston
Caroline Blakiston (born February 13, 1933 in Chelsea , London , England ) is a British actress .
Life
Blakiston has been active as a film and television actress since 1962 and has appeared in more than 90 productions. From 1983 to 1990 she played the role of Lady Patience Hardacre in the television series Brass . She became internationally known in 1983 for her role as Mon Mothma in the Star Wars film Return of the Jedi . From 2015 to 2018 Blakiston appeared in 26 episodes of the historical series Poldark as Aunt Agatha .
Her marriage in 1970 to the actor Russell Hunter , whom she met during an appearance in the play A Midsummer Night's Dream , resulted in a son and a daughter. The marriage later ended in divorce.
