Life

Fellendorf was the son of the Hamburg native and later communist resistance fighter Katharina Fellendorf .

After attending primary school, Wilhelm learned the trade of a locksmith . Later he also worked as a driver . After the transfer of power to the NSDAP , he emigrated to the Soviet Union . There he trained as a parachutist and attended a secret training school of the NKVD in Benimanet near Valencia with Albert Hößler during the Spanish Civil War . In this guerrilla school he learned to operate covertly and to gather espionage knowledge in the rear of the enemy .

On behalf of the Soviet military intelligence service GRU , he and Erna Eifler and Heinrich Koenen were deposed across German territory in May 1942 , where they were supposed to contact German informants. In Berlin they temporarily found illegal shelter at the home of Else Imme in Belfort Road 29 that this illegal meeting of the resistance group around Harro Schulze-Boysen made available. The two did not reach Hamburg until October 1942, where they made contact with the family of the resistance fighter Heinz Priess .

Finally, he was taken into her apartment by his mother, Katharina Fellendorf , who was part of the “ Bästlein-Jacob-Abshagen ” resistance group who did solidarity and educational work against the Nazi warfare. When the Gestapo found out, they were both arrested on October 15, 1942. After that, Oskar Reincke and Bernhard Bästlein , among others, were arrested. Wilhelm Fellendorf was murdered in Gestapo custody on October 28, 1942, according to other information in 1943.
