Outer Limits - The unknown dimension is a Canadian - American science fiction - and mystery - television series that was produced from the year 1995th It is a new edition of the series The Outer Limits (1963-1965). After seven seasons with a total of 153 episodes, the series was discontinued in 2002.

concept

Like its predecessor, The Outer Limits, the series is an anthology of individual episodes. Each episode is thus a self-contained story, with a few individual episodes being continued later in the series.

She is known for a kind of narrator who says a few introductory words at the beginning and a mostly profound closing word at the end. Often it also be quotations from the Bible used. Opening credits

The text of the opening credits in the German version is completely different from that in the original version. The opening credits in the original version are a cynical allusion to the power and manipulation that can be exercised by the mass media . DVD publications

On March 28, 2008, the first season of the new edition appeared in Germany. Due to insufficient DVD sales, the production of further seasons was discontinued.
