Kirsten Caroline Dunst (born April 30, 1982 in Point Pleasant , New Jersey ) is an American - German actress . She was best known at the age of twelve from the film Interview With a Vampire .

Early years

Kirsten Dunst was born in New Jersey in 1982. Her father Klaus Dunst is a German who has lived in the USA for decades. Her mother Inez Rupprecht is an American of Swedish- German origin. Your paternal grandfather lives as a widower in Hamburg . Dunst was in a relationship with her fellow actor Jake Gyllenhaal from 2002 to 2004 , then dated Razorlight singer Johnny Borrell for seven months in 2007, and with Garrett Hedlund , her colleague from On the Road , from 2012 to 2016 . Since 2016 she has been in a relationship with actor Jesse Plemons , to whom she, as it became known in 2017, is now engaged to. In 2018 they became parents of a son.

Dunst received medical treatment for depression in the spring of 2008 and resumed her film career in 2010. Since September 2011, Dunst has both US citizenship and German citizenship .
