Life
Childhood and youth

Her mother Jules Mann-Stewart comes from Queensland ( Australia ) and is a script supervisor in Hollywood . Kristen Stewart attended school through seventh grade. She then took private tuition and graduated from high school in 2009 .
Career start
Her career began when she was eight years old when an acting agent saw her at a theater performance in her elementary school, which led to a brief appearance in the 1999 Disney TV movie The Thirteenth Year . This was followed by an extra role in The Flintstones in Viva Rock Vegas (2000). She also worked in several commercials, including advertising for the car brand Porsche .
Stewart played her first major role in The Safety of Objects (2001), where she played the boyish daughter of a troubled single mother ( Patricia Clarkson ). She attracted attention in the film Panic Room (2002), in which she played the diabetic daughter Sarah of Meg Altmann ( Jodie Foster ) (shortly before shooting began, she replaced the Hayden Panettiere intended for the role ). She also played the daughter of Dennis Quaid and Sharon Stone in the thriller Cold Creek Manor (2003) . Stewart had one of the leading roles in the US remake of the Danish children's film Kletter-Ida , Mission: Possible (2004). At the age of 13, she took on the role of a high school student in Speak (2004), who is raped by an older classmate at a party, but who does not trust anyone to do so. This film was only released on DVD in Germany in 2014.
In 2005, Stewart starred in Fierce People alongside Diane Lane and Donald Sutherland, and in the fantasy adventure film Zathura as the big, irresponsible sister Lisa of two little brothers who turn their house into a spaceship while they play a board game. In the same year she starred in the film Into the Wild - The Story of a Dropout by Sean Penn . In it she played a young singer who had an eye on the main character, the young adventurer Christopher McCandless ( Emile Hirsch ). Salon.com described their work as a "stable, sensitive effort". But there were also some less good reviews. To this day, critics and audiences are divided in their assessment of Stewart's acting achievements.

The film adaptation of the second part, New Moon - Bis (s) zur lunchtime , was released in German cinemas in 2009 and, like its predecessor, was a great success. The third part, Eclipse - Bis (s) zum Abendrot , started on July 15, 2010 in Germany.
In the 2009 film Adventureland , Stewart starred alongside Jesse Eisenberg and Ryan Reynolds in the lead role of Emily "Em" Lewin.
