Michael Angarano
Michael Anthony Angarano (born December 3, 1987 in Brooklyn , New York City ) is an American actor .
Life
Angarano was born in Brooklyn and lived in Staten Island, New York until he was twelve. He has two younger siblings, Erica and Andrew, and an older sister named Kristen. He has Italian ancestry. His parents Doreen and Michael Angarano own three dance studios (Name: Reflections in Dance ), two in New York City (Brooklyn and Staten Island ) and one in California ( Los Angeles ). At the age of 12, Angarano and his family moved to Los Angeles, where he attended Crespi Carmelite High School , which he graduated from in 2005.
In an interview with the American Vanity Fair on November 5, 2008 , actress Kristen Stewart announced that she and Angarano are in a relationship. In 2009, however, the two separated again. He is in a relationship with Juno Temple , whom he met while producing The Brass Teapot in 2012, and lives in Los Feliz , a district of Los Angeles .
Career
Michael began his career at the age of five and a half as a child model for his parents' dance studios. Then he was to be seen in some American TV series until he got his first major role in 1997 in the movie The Devil with the Millions , in which Tim Allen can be seen among others . In 1999 he starred in the film Music of the Heart with Meryl Streep and a year later, in 2000, he played the young William Miller in the critically acclaimed musical drama Almost Famous . The film, directed by Cameron Crowe and starred by Kate Hudson , won an Oscar for best screenplay, a Grammy for best soundtrack , a Golden Globe, as well as two BAFTA awards and a satellite award . From 2001 to 2006 he played one of the main characters in eleven episodes of the television series Will & Grace Elliot , the son of Jack McFarland . In 2002, he took on the role of Philip in Emily's Secrets, alongside Evan Rachel Wood and David Gallagher . In 2004 he was in the films The Dust Factory and Speak - The truth changes everything as well as the series Summerland Beach , in 2005 he took over the role of Freddie in the drama Dear Wendy (the screenplay for Dear Wendy was written by the Dane Lars von Trier , Directed by Thomas Vinterberg ). He got a lot of attention in the films Dogtown Boys and Sky High. both released in 2005. In 2006 he played Dylan Jameison , a teenager with a brain tumor in the drama The Dream Date , whose last wish is a date with a supermodel.
In 2007 he starred in The Bondage , a film about a boy escaping from an intact family, and Black Irish , an Irish family drama. He also made the 2007 film Snow Angels , based on the book of the same name, took on the role of film fanatic Cameron Kincaid in Man in the Chair and played Scott Wallace in the series 24 for four episodes . He was also in The Final Season that same year - you'll always remember this when you saw a real-life sports drama. In 2008 Angarano received a lot of attention with the film The Forbidden Kingdom . In this martial arts film he stars alongside Jackie Chan and Jet Li , the lead role of Jason Tripitikas . The Forbidden Kingdom reached number 1 on the box office in the first week with sales of $ 20.9 million and received average to positive ratings.
In the film Gentlemen Broncos directed by Jared Hess , Angarano embodies the bizarre outsider Benjamin Purvis , whose idol is stolen as a young writer. Gentlemen Broncos was shown at the Berlinale 2010 , among others . The film received mostly negative reviews. In 2011, Angarano appeared in The Art of Cheating With Freddie Highmore and Emma Roberts , the thriller Red State (by Kevin Smith ) and Haywire (formerly "Knockout"). Even Antonio Banderas , Michael Douglas , Ewan McGregor and Channing Tatum have roles in Haywire . Ceremony was released in 2010 .
